| Welcome to MY DEALS WITH THE UNIVERSE |
Sometimes we have no idea where life will take us. I never dreamed I’d one day sell sympathy gifts or write a journal to record a loved ones life, but this is where I am. Coping with the loss of a child is something I never planned on. The loss of a daughter/sister/mother was profound, and has left a mark on our souls. Sometimes out of grief and heartache the most beautiful ideas are born. We hope to make this blog an eclectic mix which will reflect the personalities of our contributors. So check back here often and subscribe so you don’t miss a thing. Our contributors are Ashley Warner, Cindy Coniam, Mark Coniam and Mariel Armitage. |

I was watching Six Feet Under tonight and on the episode that I was watching, they starting singing a song where the lyrics were "calling all angels, calling all angels."
I had to look it up. I found the lyrics and then I found the song. It moved me! My first thought, and based on the context, it was probably written as a song of mourning, but then as I looked deeper, I thought that the lyrics could mean so many different things. Definitely mourning a death of a loved one, but it also rings true when diving head first into the unknown. "and it's how long and how far and how many times before it's too late? calling all angels!" I find myself diving head first into the unknown. It's a scary time.
But I live by the mantra, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"
And when the shots are worth so much, you have to try. But always be true to yourself and your values.
I trust that I will always choose the right path. And if I find myself lost, I am lost trying for the best.
"but we're not sure how this goes"
I am hopeful and confident in the best.
Calling all angels,
Mark

The pompoms have been put away & Ben-Gay seems to be the common denominator among the masses. OSFD2 was a huge success. (ol' skool field day) Tug O War, sack races, three legged races, obstacle course, you name it, we did it!
